Organize the Ableton Push Browser to make Places more accessible.
Theres a bunch of instrument presets that stop us from getting to "Places" quickly on Push's browser, and if your using places to organize your most popular presets (Push VST Preset Bridge Users) this may not be what you want. Here's a work around.
Navigate to your Live.app in Applications and right click to reveal "show package contents"
Dive into this path-
Move the folder called "Devices" to another location. I keep mine in -
Now in Ableton, drag that "Devices" folder to Places. Now you can still access all those presets included in the core library by going to Places/Devices on Push, or doing the same in Ableton. Note that this will remove them from under the "Categories" tab in ableton - Instruments, Audio Effects, and Midi Effects. Instead they are one extra click away in Places. A small Inconvenience for when you aren't using push, but the advantage is Push should have places always visible on the display form now on, only the 4th entry down.
I find this speeds up my workflow a lot.
